EmptyNest Magazine

Web Design | Copy | Content Creation

Founded in 2013, EmptyNest stood as an online magazine operated by college creatives hailing from different corners of the world. Its unique mission revolved around catering to the vibrant community of young creatives, skillfully combining three core elements: pixels, sound, and language.

EmptyNest’s content was a celebration of the personal, the global, and the expansive terrain that interconnected them. We were ardent seekers of content contributors from universities and academic disciplines, embracing diverse identities and backgrounds, and appreciating the delightful nuances of grammatical styles and punctuation quirks. Above all, our guiding principle was that speech equaled empowerment. We passionately strived to foster meaningful and respectful engagement with a global community of voices that ardently demanded to be acknowledged and taken seriously.

As a co-founder, I wrote, researched topics, created content, and led a group of creatives from NC State, SCAD, and Yale.
