EmptyNest was an online blogazine operated by college creatives focused on three core elements: pixels, sound and language.
EmptyNest was a celebration of the personal, the global and the expansive terrain that interconnected them. We were ardent seekers of content contributors from universities and academic disciplines, embracing diverse identities and backgrounds, and appreciating the nuances of grammatical styles and punctuation quirks. Above all, our guiding principle was that speech equaled empowerment. We passionately strived to foster meaningful and respectful engagement with a global community of voices that ardently demanded to be acknowledged and taken seriously.
As co-founder, I helped connect creatives from NC State, SCAD and Yale.
