Research Triangle Foundation acquired an outdated bus shelter for Boxyard RTP, Research Triangle Park’s first retail venue space. The objective of this project was to provide a visual refresh for the bus shelter, enhancing its appearance and functionality.
GoTriangle, in partnership with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), granted approval for the installation of a bus-wrap graphic on the shelter. However, it is imperative that the design did not compromise the visual permeability in the middle portion of the vision panels due to security considerations. The designs for this project were developed, in collaboration with Courtney Leach, with a strong focus on adhering to the principles of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) for Transit Facilities.
